Social feed specifications

When creating or editing a social feed, there are different specifications you can manage in the Feed specification view.

Content Specifications

Containing and Not Containing

In these two sections you can add terms to include or exclude in your Feed.

Scopes

You can include or exclude terms found in different parts, or scopes, of your social content. To make the most of the content specification, we recommend you get familiar with Boolean Queries.

Scope Compatible networks Description
Anywhere All Considers all of the scopes.
#Hashtags   Only looks for the terms in hashtags.
@Mentions Instagram
Twitter
Looks for accounts mentioned with an @ in the body of the social content.
Taptags Instagram Looks for accounts mentioned in native instagram tags.
Speech YouTube
TikTok
Looks for the terms in the video transcriptions of YouTube and TikTok.

Mentions Scope

While most of these scopes are straightforward and do not require any additional configuration, Mentions, specifically in Instagram, area more complex and powerful:

  • Out of the box, when you select the Mentions or Anywhere scopes, we will be able to identify placements where whatever handle you wish is mentioned by an account in our panel.
  • If you link one or more Instagram accounts you manage to a social Feed, when you select the Mentions or Anywhere scopes, we will be able to identify placements where the handle of the account you linked is mentioned by any account within our panel or not, as long as its data can be captured. You can link as many Instagram accounts as you wish (as long as you have access) and you will have to repeat the operation in each of the social feeds you wish to use to collect this data. We recommend you check our Mentions API article for more details.
